But I enjoyed this post. I love my mother, but I grew up in a home where my mom took the other person's (stranger, mean friend, crazy neighbor) side on everything. I suppose she was trying to teach me to look at things from someone else's point of view or maybe playing devil's advocate to get me to think; but most of the time, I just felt like no matter what I did or what point of view I held, I could never manage to get on "her side" of things.
